With the title Amora, I wasn't sure what to expect from the book, but this review has not just given a clear overview of the book but also a clear analysis of background and themes. I would love to add this book to my shelves right away and I look forward to reading it as soon as possible.
Good job to the reviewer.

This Christian historical fiction seems like it provides a deep, thought-provoking concept of choosing either vengeance or forgiveness after a trauma and how it can affect others based on what was chosen. Great review!

The book sounds interesting and is a nice example to show how Christians lived in those times. It is also pretty inspiring showing the readers that there is a choice to forgive or to take revenge describing both roads in detai. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I admire the writer and relate the events in a religious historical story that tells the story of the pain of losing children

Vengeance, forgiveness and love bound together are themes I'd always choose in a book. I love this book already. Great work we have here.

I don't read much historical fiction, but this one sounds worth a slight venture into another genre. I've read a bit about the Roman/Christian conflict and can't help but admire Amora for standing strong in her beliefs and completing the home for foundlings. I look forward to reading it. Thanks for the excellently-written review!

A great story of this woman Amora set in the backdrop of ancient Rome. Amora comes out as a strong woman who has to deal with the death of her daughter and the society's stigma towards her son who has a disability. When one loses a loved one especially for a case like Amora's daughter, it's easier to put blame rather than accept it as God's will. When you accept God into your life, then forgiveness is a surerity as is depicted in the story. The story is captivating from the word go and is historical as it covers even the persecution of Christians. Great read for everybody.

Great review too

Never judge a book by its cover. Going by the cover of the book, I considered it to be a boring historical novel but your review explains the entire plot in an interesting manner and efficiently brings to light that its interesting genre is actually a historical thriller with a blend of religion. Forgiveness is indeed a difficult path and it would be interesting to know how things turn out towards the end of this book. I will surely give it a read. Thank you.

Just a review have already got me imagining how the pains of Amora will be like, as if I am reading the book my self. The truth is it will be hard for Amora to forgive, but I wish to find out if she will actually!

I always enjoy a story that has a secondary plot going on alongside the main story. This sounds like a very entertaining and enjoyable piece of writing which will appeal to many. Great review too!

I have been reading lots of historical fiction novels lately and they are all so fascinating. The contrast between the life we know now and life in years gone is utterly bewildering. Amora's story is another avenue to learn more about the life and struggles of early Christians and I am excited to dig in.

I can't image the anguish of losing a loved one, let alone children; I'm sure it's excruciating. The book appears intriguing, but I'm not sure I'd read it because the author expresses so much suffering, and even if it's a book, I'm not sure my heart could take it. Great review

I like historical fiction. I think historical fiction gives it the most classic and epic nuances, that diamond point is to build an even more interesting storyline. Through historical fiction, readers were educated about ancient civilization cultures that were unique and too good to pass up. Anyway, congratulations on your BOTD.

This book would indeed be thought provoking following the storyline you've shared. And the themes of forgiveness and vengeance are also a lot to take on. Thanks for your amazing review.

I like that this story is based on real events and a civilization that has a very long historical record attached to it. The history of the Roman Empire especially during the days of the early Christian movement after the death of Jesus has always fascinated me. The theme of forgiveness over vengeance is one that consistently comes up in Biblical scripture and throughout the tribulations of life. I like the complexities of the characters and each story line that develops around them.
