Abortion is still a subject of discussion in many countries, and I am sure that this book can help to emphasise the women's point of view.

The plot sounds interesting. It sounds like the usual child rebelling against tradition but with a twist. I would read that. Congrats!

Candy's experiences and the choices she has to make could really resonate with readers. The conflict between tradition and modernity, and between what society expects of women and what women really want, is a timeless theme that will always be relevant. I love the way the story is already addressing these issues, and I can't wait to see how it unfolds!

Today's BOTD is a historical fiction novel that follows Candy's emotional journey of self-discovery in a world that favors men in almost all aspects of life. Filled with struggle, inspiration, and hope, readers of the genre will definitely want to download this one today! Thank you for your review; it was beautifully written and very helpful. :-)

This book sounds really enjoyable and your review hits the mark quite nicely. I also like the references to glass throughout the novel which tie in with the title. It sounds like a good possibility. Thank you.

I appreciate books with a strong female protagonist. Candy Krzyzanowski had a traumatic young adulthood, but she pressed forward in a male dominated profession to change the future for other women. The book review was informative and well-written. Congratulations to Erin Dydek on BOTD!

The struggle and hardship women used to face show how suppressed, mistreated, and deprived they were of the simplest rights. Having to face that without the support of their parents is another battle on its own, so I can't imagine what Candy went through to achieve her goals. Thanks for this great review!

Interested to see how the medical and health storyline will play into an otherwise interesting and already complex book.

An intriguing read thus far...to see the dynamic being played out with her patients husband and where they seem to know each other from. Against the background of growing up with a mother who wanted the best life for her daughter, which included marriage and children

This sounds like a riveting historical fiction and touches on women's rights and becoming one of the first female doctors in a male dominated world. Thanks for your review!

I don't like medical novels as a whole and have little to none interest in the subject of fertility in particular. Despite the high ratings this book earned, I am not sure this story will be able to entice me considering it "includes scenes of abortion and verbal abuse". Sorry and congrats!

Candy sounds like a strong, formidable woman despite all she's been through. However, this is not my type of book, so I'll probably skip it.

Your skillful analysis not only delves into the novel's themes and characters but also highlights its potential appeal to fans of medical dramas.

This looks like a terrific book, although not the kind that I typically read. However, I'm pleased that the author approaches the issue of gender inequity, apparently with great success. Congrats to her on her achievement.

I only read a sample and liked it a lot, but what made me want to keep reading this book is definitely the way you talked about how the author focuses on the fragile nature of glass and the delicate balance of life in the story, and that there are many metaphors about glass. That is so fascinating to me, so I can't wait to read it, I love it when a book revolves around a single word!
