This sounds like a well researched books. But non fiction isn't really my style so I might postpone it reading to a later date. I am sure it will be a fantastic book to lovers of the genre with the detail that the author put into even researching her own family line. Thanks for the review.

Woow! How cruel is the world to the extent of Sophia, willing to carry such horrifying secrets to her grave than go through the horror of retelling them. Knowledgeably l know that no matter the secret, it is told to whom it may concern before passing on to the other world but with Sophia's case hmmm, thinking. Interesting review.

Another family ruined by war, destinies become altered, souls are lost and that tragedies shape entire generations. I don't understand how anyone can claim it never happened in the face of glaring evidence! I applaud the author's effort to help remember and prevent it from repeating!

I find it curious to know how the discoveries about the unusually high number of twins within her extended family are associated with horrible secrets that the author's mother would rather take with her to the grave. The topic of the holocaust is always controversial and intriguing.
