From a sampling, this seems like an interesting retelling of the Biblical story of David's flight from King Saul and his refuge in the land of Philistines. While it might not be for everyone, it might be worth a second look, Well done.

I find biblical tales on tv at the movies to be a lot of fun, but reading biblical retellings isn't my thing. I read the first couple of chapters, and the author has a nice way of bringing the stories to life, but it's not my kind of book. Congrats to Mr. Ganci on his achievement.

The reviewer highly recommends "David God's Chosen Crucible" by Joseph Ganci, praising the author writing style and the way he dramatizes the events in the life of David. The reviewer especially likes how the characters are portrayed and how the author weaves in the war techniques of ancient times. The book is deserving of a 5 out of 5 stars rating, and is recommended for anyone interested in Biblical history and the story of King David.

What an epic tale! Though retelling biblical history with contemporary approach in the most dramatic way possible seems fascinating, I don't enjoy this theme that much. I still appreciate the author's story telling skills. Thank you for a well-detailed review.

An engaging retelling of King David's life, offering fresh insights on war tactics, love, and friendship is an interesting book to read, particularly because I like the story of David and Saul from the Bible.

I recently read David by Joseph Ganci, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed by this book. The author has done an excellent job in retelling the story of King David from the Bible in a modern and compelling way. The book is well-written, engaging, and has a good pace. It kept me interested throughout, and I found myself unable to put it down.

The book does not contain any profane or vulgar language. It is clean and suitable for readers of all ages. This is a refreshing change from many modern books that often use explicit language and graphic descriptions to create shock value. The author has managed to keep the language clean while still conveying the emotions and feelings of the characters effectively.

The author has used a gentle touch to convey the romantic relationships between the characters without resorting to cheap tricks or sensationalism. This makes the book suitable for readers of all ages.

While the book is based on the story of King David from the Bible, it is not overtly religious. The author has done an excellent job of making the story accessible to readers of all backgrounds and beliefs. Even if you are not familiar with the story of King David, you will still be able to enjoy the book.

Some reviewers have criticized the book for being too long and dragging on in places. While I did not find this to be the case, I can understand how some readers might find the book a bit slow in places. However, I think that the slower parts of the book are necessary to build tension and create a sense of anticipation for what is to come.

It is clear that David is written by a professional writer. The book is well-structured, and the prose is engaging and easy to read. The author has a clear talent for storytelling, and I would not be surprised if he goes on to write more books in the future.

In conclusion, David by Joseph Ganci is an excellent book that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a well-written and engaging retelling of the story of King David. The book is clean, suitable for readers of all ages, and is not overly religious. While some readers may find the book a bit slow in places, I think that the slower parts are necessary to build tension and anticipation. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely read it again.

'Official Review: David God's Chosen Crucible' by Joseph Ganci serves as good background information for readers. It highlights the important points related to the historical fiction reading content for new readers. The point that the book is the retelling of 1 Samuel 23:26-2 Samuel 12:31 is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that the author carefully weaves in the war techniques of ancient times, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the author's way of dramatizing the near-possibilities of events in the life of David was stunning!

I am not really a fan of Biblical novels, but a modern take on the original sounds intriguing. I can see how this would appeal to many readers. Thanks for the informative review.

In this excellent review, the story of David is told as historical fiction and shows the ways of battle in that time. This creates pictures of Saul and David as the chase by Saul continues. Glad to add this to my library to bring this account to life.

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how the author retells David’s story in this own writing style and the "divine intervention" of God in the life of David. This is very timely and relevant for this Holy Week celebration and what a way to spend the special season.

The story of David's life has several examples of "the important role of friendship and kinship in war." Reading the first pages of this book, I found the author's storytelling vivid and informative. Thank you for your recommendation, and congrats on BOTD!

Even though I’m not Christian, I do sometimes enjoy fictional retellings of biblical stories. King David’s story isn’t my favorite from the Bible, but based on the review, this retelling sounds like a good one. Thank you for the helpful review.
