Very honest review. I liked the sample for the style, but war stories are not for me.

Jeremy didn't know that being nice to an enemy had grave consequences. This historical fiction seems fascinating. Congrats on BOTD. Nice review.

Though war stories are thrill to read, i personally dont like to go with millitary histories. It highlights the traumas, deaths, horifing consequences especially the aftermath of such ruinous event are so shaking up. It terrorizes me to extreme. so i wont take this up to read but i was amazed to see that this book also speaks about medical advancements of the war which is is rarely foccused in such kind of pieces...congrats for BOTD

A war story with a focus on the characters seems compelling. I would like to know how Doc Thorndike challenged the norms. I hope Jeremy's naivety did not cost him his life. Congrats on BOTD. Amazing review.

This is a quick read that follows young Jeremy as he grows up during the time when young boys partook in war from a young age. It is quite fascinating to read about someone who does not follow the norm and how the consequences of those actions translate down the road. Congrats on the BOTD!

This story is thought-provoking and explores the complexity of moral choices in times of war. The author's unique perspective makes the reader consider what makes a hero, and whether taking a life can ever be heroic.

I don't know what I would have done in Jeremy’s situation. This dilemma helped build an instant connection with Jeremy’s character and I want to understand more of his choices. A great perspective, instead of going for the guts and glory of a war story.

Oh! It seems like the story of someone who, against all odds, does something that truly moves him. Many people are forced to do things against their will but with a high sense of patriotism, depressing. Thanks for the recommendation.

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to be with Jeremy, Roger, and Doc Thorndike as their fates intertwined, and how they faced situational decisions as they go about their roles in the society. War and the medical field is an interesting mix in a book and this one is right up my alley.

It's extremely fascinating to shift the focus of the narrative away from the combat and include some emotional material. I appreciate the idea since it depicts a less-examined aspect of warfare. Congrats on BOTD!

"The shot not heard around the world" by Charlie Damitz tells the story of the American Revolutionary War and young Jeremy. The focus in this relatively short novel is not on the war, but on the internal turmoil in which the young man found himself.

"The shot not heard around the world" by Charlie damitz. An interesting historical fiction book, talks about Jeremy and his adventures, partaking in wars, hunting squirrels and rabbits at the time of old. The book written with facts and the systems of the past. Congrats on your #BOTD.

Thank you for your great review. I also thought the writing was exceptional and I felt as though I was right there with Jeremy when he had to make the all-important decision. It's also wonderful that it is edited so well. While war stories aren't my favorite, I feel this is more about feelings and decisions. So, sad he had to make the decision at such a young age. After reading your review I have decided to add it to my list of books to read.

'Official Review: The Shot Not Heard Around the World' by Charlie Damitz presents the gist of the historical fiction tale for readers. It highlights every single detail related to the book for voracious readers. The point that besides war, the story is about the internal turmoil of a boy thrust into an unprecedented situation is worth mentioning in the review. It is noteworthy that the book describes the regular clinic occurrence to battlefield medic adventures in an exciting way. Also, as mentioned in the review, the point that the book describes the daily realistic experiences of the 1700's and the situational decisions in a lively way is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book captures the essence of the warring era while delivering its message in a light-hearted yet graphical way!
