Definitely not my cup of tea, not just because I don't like such literature, but also due to my immense dislike of all things military. Injury is the ultimate pain and suffering and to see it happening not due to the misfortune of illness, but at the will of a person, won't gain my sympathy. Congrats with BOTD anyway!

Historical fiction especially ones depicting war are not my cup of tea. But I've read the review which is pretty enthusiastic describing how a man comes to terms with everything the war has taken from him and I should say that it does take so much from a lot of people even nowadays.
