Getting years before the Nazi takeover and following after adds to the depth of this fictional story of an Aryan family living before and after the Holocaust. The reviewer paid close attention to the story which made me want to read this for myself. With more background information and a different perspective, maybe I will gain more perspective of this horrible genocide.
