I just finished reading a sample and can agree with your assessment that it draws one in with the story. The characters do seem very interesting and I'm curious to hear what happens next. Thanks for your review!

Good summarization of the book. With the plotline on political intrigues that might not appeal to some readers, it is great that the author's writings was descriptive and well-written along with the commendable characters development. But I'd have to read the first book before reading this one and see how the story goes. Anyway, thank you for the review. Helped me a lot!

I just imagine how the history of a particular group of people that is strange to me could make a meaning.

The review is much too vague to be useful. It lacks depth of detail and is so general in its description that it could be used to relate to several hundred books of multiple themes, both fiction and non-fiction. Poor grammar and faulty sentence construction make it difficult to read and destroys whatever meaning the author was attempting to convey. Learn to proofread.

I learned so much from this well-written and meticulously researched book. I'm not usually that much of a fan of historical fiction, but in this case it was a welcome educational experience

Thanks for a candid review devoid of any spoilers. I sense that you were trying to pique our interest without giving out too much information about the plot. It is nice to know that anachronism did not feature much in this book. You obviously enjoyed reading and reviewing this book. I plan to read it.

This historical fiction book does sound interesting but it also sounds like too much is going on, I think this may be because I haven't heard anything about the first book in the series. So for now I think I'll pass on reading this second installment. But good job on your review!

Thanks for the review! Even at the start of the book, you can tell how well-written the characters would end up becoming. I definitely noticed how each one seemed to have their own personality and their own style of speaking, and I'm glad the author expanded beyond this to develop the characters in their own unique ways. I'm glad to hear that this book has an enticing story that pairs well with the excellent characterization.
