Thanks for your in-depth review. This novel engages from the very start and the story line is quite unique. I definitely want to read the entire series.

This story is about four semi-immortals who fight throughout time to save the world. This sounds like great fun. I'll have to find book one first because I would like to read the series in order. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your detailed and excellent review.

Excellent review! But unfortunately even though I usually like historical genre this book is way out of my alley, because I prefer when they are based on real historical events and not mixed with fantasy and mystic.

great review! i'm against any kind of immortality but i don't mind reading about it especially when the story sounds so exciting. it's an action-packed historical fiction and i love it already! but i think i'll wait until i have the rest of the series to read it.

Thanks for the insightful review of this book. I must say that I am absolutely intrigued by the storyline and your review helps nurture my interest. I appreciate that the author sets the stage by giving the reader information about The Select in the first few chapters. I think that will probably be the part that really hooks me into the story. Definitely looking forward to reading this book!

The review was extremely detailed and helpful. I liked your mention on the organisation of the chapters. Also I found important your reference on historical elements in the book.
It will be the main factor for me reading it.

I love reading stories about immortality. If you like this story you might also like "Diary of an Immortal". It also features characters who live thousands of years.

A nice and well written review. This looks like it should make for interesting reading. The theme seems rich and weaving historical incidents in the flow of this story is like an extra bonus. I am interested in checking this novel out. Congrats to the author on #BOTD

Interweaving historical events and current scenarios with fictitious storytelling can connect the reader with the tale itself. These characters appear to be relevant and relatable across several lifetimes. Thank you for your thoughtful analysis of this fascinating book.

Thank you for the great review! I've always liked stories that involve immortals or semi-immortals as this book has. It gives you a chance to wander through history and see the great differences between then and now. The plot seems interesting enough to make me want to read, starting with the first book of the series.

I wonder how much like Dr. Who this series is... A mix of cultures and times, a series of intriguing investigations, semi-immortals protecting humanity, and a romantic "glow" to boot. I'll definitely put this on my to read shelf-just as soon as I figure out how to do that!

Semi-immortal beings trapped in unaging bodies sounds intriguing.
