Thanks for the review. I love adventure, mystry and historical books so am definitely going to read the book.
Thanks for your comment. I hope you enjoy the book.

I enjoyed that aspect, too. Thanks for your comment. :tiphat:

It is fortunate that the book can stand on its own as I'm sure there are many, like myself, who have not read the others in the series. It sounds like you really enjoyed the book but a real shame that the author did not research the language fully and ended up using an unacceptable term throughout the book. Unfortunately, this does not sound like a book that I personally would enjoy so it will be going on my "not interested" shelf. Thanks for the informative review.
Books are my self-medication. 8)

sonya01 wrote: 30 Nov 2018, 10:19 You seem to have really enjoyed this one, and as it has achieved a perfect score, I'm sure it must be worth a closer look. It's such a bonus when the different books in a trilogy can stand on their own merit, so I may be tempted to read more of this one. Thank you for a great review.
Thanks, Sonya. I appreciate your comment.

In the OnlineBookClub platform, the Warramunga trilogy has received high acclaim. Although it's not my cup of tea. I usually avoid action-packed novels. It's nice to know from your review that the third installment in the series can be read as a standalone. Maybe I will try reading it. 💐💐

Congrats on being BOTD 💐💐👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for your kind comments.

stacie k wrote: 30 Nov 2018, 10:43 An action-packed historical adventure that includes kdnapping, theft, and murder. Though it’s the third of a series, it can stand on its own.
Thanks for your comment, Stacie.

MsTri wrote: 30 Nov 2018, 11:02 Thanks for the lovely review, but I'm no more interested in this Warramunga tale than I was in the first two books due to my dislike of historical fiction as well as the locations in these books (Malaya in this one). The plot for this one in particular doesn't really grip me either.
Thanks for your comment.

Lunastella wrote: 30 Nov 2018, 11:05 The plot doesn't really appeal to me, to be honest.
However, I think your review is excellent. You mentioned all the strong assets of the book, and I appreciate that you took the time to call out the racist term you found, as well as mentioning if the plot is graphic or includes profanity. These things don't bother me particularly but I think they can be quite important for some readers.
Thank you for your kind comments.
