First of all, I can not wait to get started on book 2 of the Curse Of Clansmen and Kings Series, by Linnea Tanner. Reading Apollo’s Raven by Linnea Tanner, had me captivated to where I had to keep reading so I can know what happened next; from the romance scene to battle scene, it kept me on edge. I was really sad when I ran into the ‘Acknowledgements’ page because I feel like it should not have ended that quickly.

The book, Apollo’s Raven is about two kingdoms: the Celtics and the Romans in the Post-Caesar era. The book starts off with, Catrin, the main character and one of the princesses of the Celtic kingdom, coming to terms with her mystical abilities and being a warrior princess. After a meeting with the Romans, it was decided that Catrin will also be charged with escorting Marcellus- a young Roman nobleman- around the Celtic kingdom. Marcellus volunteered to be a hostage, but it was agreed that he will be treated like a guest among the Celtics.
While Catrin escorts Marcellus each day and getting to know him, they, both Catrin and Marcellus, began to hone deep feelings for one another. Those feelings would get the both of them in trouble, but that is not enough to keep them apart from one another.

What I dislike about the book was the way it ended, but, also, this is why I absolutely loved it too. I can not wait to get started on book two just so I can see what happens next. This book was the best book I’ve read since the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.

This novel was professionally edited, published, and very well written, therefore, I rate this book a 4 out of 4. This was a really fun read, and I believe that anyone over the age of 18 should read this book. Since there are a couple of sex scenes and quite a few profane words, I would not recommend this book to be read by minors.

I believe that anyone who reads this book will immediately fall in love with Catrin and Marcellus. Every single page is a real page turner.
