I like millitary genres more as movies and less as books so I will pass on this. However I must comment that this has such an interesting story line.

I not really into things related to the American Civil War, but it seems a great book by your review. Thank you!

This book isn't my personal style -- I liked the first few pages I read, but I know that I won't make it through the whole thing, as it's far more in depth than my interest will support --, but I texted a couple of family members who do like reading about military maneuvers in detail.

I appreciate how the review made me feel like I shouldn't feel obligated to finish the book just because it truly is so high quality, and I think passing the title on will ultimately end up with some very happy men!

In the sample pages, I enjoyed learning about Hancock’s early years, but I don’t think I would enjoy the second part of the book as much. Thanks for a great review!

The review is a good one detailing the account and characters of the historic novel by James Kelly. I would encourage young adults to read this book although it is a fiction novel we can derive lessons in real-life experiences. A soldier's life and career are one that is of a prestigious nature and persons that serve in this military career are often forgotten. The theme captivates the commitment of Hancock's career as a military person serving in the Civil War. This book is one that I am looking forward to read.

I love historical fiction, especially those that surround war, and this one sounds like it delivers in both education and amusement. I know very little about Major General Winfield Scott Hancock, but am excited to read about him!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction novel about a soldier fighting in the American Civil War. It might be worth a second look especially for fans of historical fiction and wars. Well done.

I believe Hancock must have been a very important man. But I have to skip this book. Congratulations to the author.

Thanks for the excellent review. I’m not much of a military history fan. However, maybe I just haven’t found the write storyteller. Since I now own this book, I might give it a try.

This book sounds like an interesting read with much insight into two major events in American history. However, with all of the characters that are introduced in this story I would get lost easily. I am also not a huge military historic fiction fan so I think I would pass this onto those that enjoy that genre. Great review though!
