History indeed has a way of hurting the present. The sad thing is that there's no way to change the past, we only learn to live and learn from it. It can indeed be devastating, such events as the holocaust may even make hearts harden and feel like they can't forgive. But then someone comes along and breaks down the walls showing that what really matters at the end of the day is love..I would love to read this book. great review!

As I've read this story it makes me wonder what could have been if your were to experience such holocaust twice in your lifetime. can you really handle the situation or would you give up and let the emotions runs over your whole being. There would be a drastic change in your behavior if you experience such tragedy.

I really love to read a story like this because it made me realize things. what if I have been on that situation. how will I survive on that position.

Character stories are the best and plots where characters have to deal with the noble subjects are always nice to find. Not to mention that well-checked facts are always a big bonus. I'll certainly read this one. Thank you for the feedback!

The review is truly amazing. I would really love to delve into this. I love an enticing plot and the fact that the characters are said to be relatable. I would love to know if love won despite being countered by past atrocities.

I'm getting positive vibes about historical fiction. I would love to know whether they found compassion and forgiveness. 80 years is a long time.

I'm from India and most of the people here still hold grudges against Britain for colonization. But there are some who've moved on. I would like to read this novel especially to see how the characters dealt with past atrocities. It was a great review and thank you for sharing.

Thank you for a really great review. I enjoy historical fiction and the period of the Holocaust and its survivors in particular really interest me. This story mingles two people from opposite sides of the coin in an interesting way and I plan to add it to my to read shelf. Thanks again for your review; it was concise and descriptive and gave a great analysis of the book.
