Deceitful Survival---From a Young Girl To a Strong Woman by LC LEE emphasises on the psychological maturity of a girl and her journey from Elizabeth to Andree. Starting from a simple girl who helplessly watched her father killing her mother to a Strong woman who decepted being male to reunite her family. Her life is full of adventure and the vast sea plays a very important role in all her life , most probably because she couldn't have a place in land.

The character portraiture of Andree is the main theme of this novel and the way she is depicted is really a paradigm. The fight to live is the main instinct that we find in this book. Andree always tried to take life ethically but when she did not achieve happiness, she inhibited the strength to accept what is devious. She lost her faith in God, she regained it, she was heartbroken but she did never stop.

The book is grammatical sound. I noticed as such no grammatical issue; it appeared to be professionally edited.

I would like to rate this book 4 out of 4 because of its beautiful theme. This wonderful story really touched my heart. It made me smile, and it moved me to tears several times. I felt that the first two paragraphs were not spontaneous but as I proceeded, I emersed into it. Also, there is a perfect balance of narrative voice and the descriptions provided. One can find American essence in this book.

I was moved when her son doubted her to be deceiving him with money when she was disguising herself just to reunite her family.

This is actually an intense reading with some sexually explicit content. This book can move your heart and at the same time you will feel to know what next. Hence I suggest that this bildungsroman can be read only by adults. Definitely this book is a must read if you want to be motivated inspired by a journey of life of being unstoppable. Also, if you love traveling, it's going to be a nice read.
