This historical novel gives us a transparent view of Winston Churchill's decision to put an end to European oppressors. The book also takes a glance into WWII and even the French resistance movements. Sandra Eden’s War, by Mike Low, follows the story of a British Special Operation Executive (SOE) agent named Sandra Eden. She was involved in the fight to assist free Europe from the maltreatment of Nazism. Thee start of the book shows us how Sandra entered France with a parachute before the D-Day, 6 June 1944. Unluckily, Sandra’s parachute did not open. Sergeant Bligh told the opposite SOE agents that her body was, ''t found, and also the Germans can put an imposter in her place to mislead the SOE.

The book also explores how Sandra was saved, how the French resistance operation forced the Germans back in Normandy, how Sandra was stopped at the railroad station by two Gestapo agents, how Bobby is to be sent back to England together with two RAF pilots who escaped from their internment camp and the way victor helped James Silverstone, and Sandra Eden crosses the channel.

This book consists of ten chapters, and every section is well-organized with the knowledge presented. I enjoyed reading chapter three and chapter five. Chapter three tells us about the task of smuggling explosives into the enemy's factory. It's an impossible mission because the workers are searched regularly by German security. Sandra is an example of a brave and courageous leader. She volunteered to execute the task against the chances without flinching. Sandra is decided and not terrified of the uncertainty ahead. Chapter five,e gives an update of how the allies landed and fighting their way through Normandy. This shows that the war will soon be over because Hitler has got to fight from two fronts, which is extremely difficult. Readers will find these chapters of the book very fascinating.

The writer splashed humor everywhere in his work. Besides the most character, I enjoyed the character, James Silverstone. He was an experienced RAF pilot. The Nazis captured him in 1942. French Resistance helped him escape. His present job is to SOE agents parachute and land in occupied France. Additionally, to how well the characters were developed, I loved the way the author utilized the characters.

The story's plot is well-developed. I liked how the author described the way Sandra fell and her experience from the fall. She hit a tree, and therefore, the branches were bending around her as she fell through them. The author says she was breathless and exhausted; she couldn’t move. I find it interesting to see a woman as the lead character in this story. There was absolutely nothing I disliked about this book. I admired the pace of the novel, which was neither fast nor slow.

Sandra Eden’s Waris very well-edited, and that I did not find one error throughout the book. I rate this book a solid 4 out of 4 stars. This rating is mostly influenced because the author's story was very original and the well built mystery. I'm very impressed by this book. I learned quite a lot about D-Day. I recommend this book to lovers of historical novels. The book brings a relevant conversation about what happened in Normandy.

I enjoy historical books, loaded with action and suspense. Having a female as the lead character caught my interest. I'm definitely reading this. Nice story.

Books that peek into historical events, like World War II and the french resistance, are always an exciting read. It'll be fascinating to know Sandra's role in all of it.
