In all these experiences, I wonder the psychological effect it would have on Corey. How did he still drive-through all the circumstances? I'll love to try out this one. Good review.

Aa a young boy from an underprivileged background , Corey can probably teach us many unknown lessons of life.. The review was very honest and well balanced with the outline and setting of the story, the writing style of the author and the personal take of the reader on the book.Good job👍

On my own understanding, the subject made this book interesting. Although some errors were present, the reviewer had a hard time deducting the rating. The character too was well-described. Well done!

Teenagers mostly undergo lots of things, some more than others ,yet this boy who decided to earn his coat despite challenges like a drunk mom and other factors, he will be forced to ask questions. But it looks like he's hanging on just fine. Its a harsh world for some people. Great review, congrats on being BOTD.

Kudos to the author for creating a flawless protagonist, Corey Mack. However the book is out of my genre, so I'll pass on this. Congrats on BOTD.

The history fiction novel after second world war, have more characters and complicated in short novel. If the story line have made for more pages, the story will be better & great, I love read this book.

This seems like an interesting story. The story is about a teenage boy in Chicago in the 1960s and the incidents he faces in the summer. I am looking forward to reading it.

Somehow I find it difficult to read books that contain unnecessary details. Personally, Corey's personality is relatable. Awesome job.

This is an intriguing coming of age book that follows Corey a 14 year old who takes on responsibility from his mother with a drinking problem, whilst trying to discover the truth about his step dad in prison. He would now have to cope with crime and tragedy right in the apartment building he stays in.
Nice and informative review.

Having grown up in Chicago this story was very much of interest to me. I found the lengthy descriptions forced me to read at a slower rate than normal. I think the official review did a great job with the story and I agree with his 3 stars out of 4.

I'd love to delve into the 60s and find out more. Unfortunately, I don't like a book that drags, not to mention the handful errors you found. I'll pass this one but thank you for the insight about the book

Wow, this is a really compelling review. Abuse and violence is rampant everywhere and sometimes not taken seriously until it turns ugly. I am definitely reading this book despite the errors. Thank you.
