I like stories that take place in Rome but most of them are heavy and I find them difficult to follow. Thank you for your review.

Amora had a lot of courage going against social dictates to convert to christianity and at the same time ,take care of enslaved children

I am really intrigued by the murder mystery. Do they reveal the killer at the end? Will love to know

Exploring the concept of forgiveness and revenge from a Christian perspective and in the Roman Empire context looks thought-provoking. Congrats on BOTD!

Ooooh, this is interesting. I've always been curious about that era and I haven't read much about it other than some Christian comics. I hope the author's writing style is powerful enough to bring such an old world to life.

Dealing with acceptance and forgiving is a really difficult position for one to deal with. Would love to read this work. I'm a Christian myself.

This seems very heavy. If I were in Amora's shoes, I would find it very difficult, if not impossible, to forgive my daughter's killer. Congrats on BOTD!

This does sound like an interesting story, and I couldn't imagine the pain she has gone through. I myself haven't, but I've seen my grandparents lose two children too early as both my uncles had passed away before either of them. Since this book has more of a religious theme, I most likely would not enjoy it.

This might not be the kind of book I read but it seems like it will indeed teach a lot of lessons. I feel for Amora on the difficult decision she has to make in the book. Thanks for an interesting review.

The story covers quite heavy themes. This is a good historical fiction book that would be perfect for Christians. Congratulations on making book of the day!

Forgiving is beneficial more on the side of the victim over the abuser. But that can not diminish the pain the incident gives to the victim and their family. I cannot fathom the pain Leo and Amora feel with the death of their daughter. The story clearly shows the two sides of the effect of the murder on the family. Good review. Keep it up.
