Bedu Bedouin Boy Poet King by David W. Sutherland and Paul McKellips, a youth, Bedu, who needs to get more Jacob’s sheep or otherwise his family would have no more meat for the winter. The reason his family requires more is that a king appeared to visit and uphold a promise that was made to him. King Melchior, before he took off, gives Bedu 5 gold coins and some excellent guidance. During his trek to Hedron and thereafter is a lesson in the making as he travels along. There are seven of them with a quote at the outcome of each chapter. Bedu learns things that he never thought he appreciates and even met someone to cherish. Once at the conclusion, Bedu made all of his dreams come through.

One of thing best things I enjoyed was a quote at the end of each chapter. Chapter 2 quote is my favorite one. Here Bedu went to save someone from drowning. He found the child and asks for the other men to help him while he frees the boy. In return, Bedu saved him thanks to others who jumped in after he asks for aid. The quote in question is about together people can do the impossible. One thing Bedu did was look at the stars before he sleeps and saw one of them is brighter. Here is what King Melchior wanted him to pay attention to.

What I discovered I did not like was the fact that occasionally the story gets boring in places, but it did not slow me down to read it. There was enough interest in giving to the quote that I found I minded it a little about. Sometimes the story got repeated, and this is where the dullness came into play. There was also a lack of page numbers within the story.

I rate this 4 out of 4 stars. This novel was a modest and pleasant read with minor errors. Most of the chapters in question were a lesson in how to treat others and even a surprise one was included too. In the end, Sutherland, one author, added in a brief note about the words ‘Be’ and ‘Do’. I find what he said very interesting and advise to look at this before you close the book.

I would recommend this to everybody for the lessons it demonstrates. There are no vulgar or sexual in there. Parents can read this to their children to teach them who they should act to others. The lessons themselves came close to the bible sayings.

I did not like the fact that, in my humble opinion, the authors approach the description of the past in a way that is more appropriate to the present. Of course, the book has decent potential. Thanks for the good review.
