The reviewer mentions the importance of not feeling compelled to take any sides or any offence at some of the political positions. I feel that is a sophisticated response to a work on this difficult subject. It would be interesting to read how a good person would try to change a corrupt system. It would also be interesting to learn whether the MC would be able to succeed or fail as another good-person-turned-bad. I am not familiar with the historical bit of this novel, so those who are will definitely be intrigued by the story's historical accuracy and relevance. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

its a historical about vietnam war and how the older generation the way it is hard for them to understand how the new generation wants to do things,the joining of the police by steve which it even suprises hes girlfriend.
