The review is great in such a way that I think I have already read the book myself. This story of a family which faces a lot of struggles from the time that the head of the family became disable due to nuclear meltdown in his previous work and then follows to the time when they are settled to their hometown then more challenges besieged them because of Covid scare and others have made them stronger as a family especially with the leading of Mary, the mother of Matter family. This is a great inspiration to all of us since we are all being tormented with everything that is happening now.Congrats to the BOTH!

I am not a fan of historical fiction and this book doesn't appeal to me, but it does look like an interesting read for those who love this genre and your of story.
Mad Hatter: "Have I gone mad?"
Alice: "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”

Good review, it's such a pity that a family could go through all these ordeal and still stand firm, together in love. This family is worthy of emulation. Great book.

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I’m not currently interested in historical fiction that is so recent, so I think I will pass on this one for now.

I think the concept of looking at 2020 through the eyes of an average middle-class family is an excellent one. It gives us a chance to reflect on what happened with ourselves and our families during this time period. Although I don't know that many of us experienced a nuclear plant meltdown, we all had to cope with COVID. Even with the errors, the book might well be worth the read. Thanks for the insightful review!

that’s a very sad situation to find ones self. after a nuclear melt down, you go into lock down due to covid. the way i remember it covid was frustrating. maybe it’ll help the family overcome their struggle together but we’d have to find out as we read

My greatest worry is that the book is the second installment in a trilogy, and this meant you have to read the first novel if you want to understand the next installment. Still, if the readers find the historical fiction title enjoyable and compelling, they will be convinced to read the entire trilogy. I congratulate the author for BOTD!

This is a very interesting and emotional book. What I like about the book is that it tells a story of a family going through tragic events in their lives and sticking together despite the odds.
Now this goes out to all the families of the world going through tough times during this covid-19 pandemic and other tragic episodes.

This seems like a well written story. The book has an interesting storyline. I'd love to read this book. Especially to see the authors portrayal of the pandemic.

Sounds like an emotional and touching family story. It's not, however, a book I would read as it seems to sad for me.

A riveting story that tells the impact of current sociological issues to a family from Ariana. It sheds light on the Black Lives Matter movement as well as the impact of COVID-19.

The review was very well written, but I will not read this book, as the pandemic and the killing of George Floyd to me is really being "used" in the media and the world.
The families story does sound quite intriguing by itself.

This book will appeal to those who enjoy delving into family dramas and struggles. I am sure many readers will be able to relate to their challenges as schools closed and their country plummeted into chaos. Congrats on the BOTD selection!
