It sounds like this novel presented quite the generational drama: alcoholism, abandonment, regret, and a gleaming family heirloom?! I can easily envision how such a tale would be quite sad and emotional at times. Thank you for providing a thorough analysis.

To add to all of that, the happenings in the book is painfully realistic. It's not difficult to imagine the characters in the book to be actual people. Thank you for dropping by and commenting!

This is a great review. Thank you for your true words! I am fond of family psychology especially about how parents treat their children and why. This book including the addicted mother and the controlling grandma sounds intriguing to me, I must say.

Thank you so much for the compliment and the comment! It's really intriguing, as their personalities and choices can be explained by their upbringing.

I have experienced the hating effect of unclear transitions in other books and felt rather dismayed, but it seems like this story might be kind of worth it. Don't get me wrong, I hope they improve the things you pointed out, but the plot and storytelling sound extremely engaging. Thanks for your review!

The transitions in this book weren't as bad as others I've read, so it'll be worth the read. The storytelling is excellent! I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you chose to read the book. Thank you so much for leaving a comment! :D
