I never knew I'd ever read a book and I feel part of the character and partake of their emotions every bit of their journey. This book made me shed tears at the cruelty of the world War 2. Mostly because I wanted things to go different, but am sure I wouldn't have been glued till the end if things actually went how I wished them to go.

Coming into contact with Rescuing General Patton has given me a new outlook on the government's way of recognizing ranks. Some soldiers die rescuing others and aren't recognized in the name of "top secret missions". Anyway, those were the emotions Curtis Stephen Burdick rose in me throughout. Reading this book felt like watching an action movie, the suspense and tension I felt here had me want to see another volume of the same series.

I actually can't find anything negative to say about this book. I encountered nothing but professional work here. I was really impressed at the impersonation of Millbury as General Patton. Though he was eliminated, that gave me some thrill. The twist of event on Julia and John getting married wasn't even part of my wildest imagination, that was a wow. The language used was just fit for the occasion, multiple cuss words applied where necessary and that is part of art.

This book can be read by people of all ages as long as they love history. This here would satisfy their thirst to know what happened. I realized that every soldier at war somehow believes in God, not for victory but for protection, because they actually lay their lives for their countries, coming back home is never assured, but at least victory is always somehow assured.

With all the adventure and amount of clear information this book has, I unapologetically give it a 4 out of 4.I would actually keep such a book in my library for future reading.
