I just fell in love with this book after reading this review. Keeping the mind of the readers in suspense is the best way to keep the reader engaged while reading. Indeed, this book must have a lot of thrilling content. Great job!

I am not really a fan of historical fiction, but I do enjoy family stories. I think that this is the problem with arranged marriages, like the one between Lord and Lady Chiddleigh. You don’t know what you’re getting.

I do not read all subgenres of historical fiction, but since this one has themes of love and family, I'm going to give it a try. I'm feeling hopeful regarding Joan's character, and I truly hope she perseveres till the end. Thank you for the wonderful review!

I love historical fiction and also romance. These are two of my favorite genres. I wonder if she is able to transform her husband. I can't wait to read this. Thanks for your review.

Thanks for your review. Normally, noblemen would marry those of the same class, so I wonder if Joan is the daughter of an aristocrat or a normal family.

This is an amazing historical fiction novel highlighting medieval England, ideas on being a Lady, amazing characterization, and a unique plot. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has an incitefully-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

Historical fiction isn’t my first choice when it comes to reading but the story in this one sounds interesting. I’d love to see what happens with Joan’s life and if the dynamics of her marriage will change.

Lovely review!

This book has a very Shakespearean feel to it. Love, suspense, hate, murder and deception are the core themes of any good historical fiction. I feel sometimes fictional stories are the best way to know the time period it is set in. I feel for Joan and am somewhat curious to know how things would turn for her. I am not a historical fiction fan but this book sounds intruiging.

This historical fiction sounds right up my alley. I beat only positive things about it, so I might as well try it for myself. Congrats!

Firstly, I enjoyed the setting of this historical fiction. It was an aspect of the book that differentiated it from other books, which are readily available to me. I found the setting very intriguing, as I learnt a good deal about how things operated back in the 1300s. I learnt the hierarchy of powers in England at the period ranging from the Earl to the Lords and how people struggled to get to the top and make acquaintance with the king.
It is, indeed, a great opportunity to learn more about a time period of which I know practically nothing. And it's surprising that the topics, despite the enormous time difference, are relatable.
Thank you for your fantastic review!

This is my kind of book - historical fiction, romance, suspense, and mystery - all wrapped up in one. Thanks for the review.

I'm a hard sell on historical fiction set in medieval times but I love romance storylines. Your review pointed out some amazing things and I added the book to my TBR shelf. However, I'm concerned about the length of the book too. Great job with the review.
