This historical fiction book focuses on the threat imposed on the Roman empire. Religion clearly plays a huge role in the story as well. I would love to see what role Theona plays in saving the Roman empire, if she does.

The historical and cultural settings from which the story takes place seems interesting. The narrative involves war and invasion, all during the Roman Empire. Congrats on BOTD!

While I really like the book's plot, I'm not fond of historical fiction, so I won't be reading this one. Nonetheless, congrats on BOTD!

It will be great following Theona's story against the wider history of the Roman Empire. It sounds captivating down to the concluding page. Thanks for the review.

Honestly, I'm not too familiar with Roman history during that period, and the book seems to serve as a very good stepping stone to learning more about that time. Balancing history and plot is not easy, but the author seems to have done a great job. Thanks for the review.

Historical fiction isn't really one of my faves but your review has piqued my interest. I'm so glad that the author did research first. There are so many books that's all around because they don't know what's up and what's not. Also, it looks like this book has a lot of elements that's very entertaining. Thanks a lot
