Sarah Eden's war by Mike Low has eleven chapters. It is an intriguing book which leaves the reader wanting to know what happens next. It talks about a female agent that was deployed to France from England to help free the French from the oppression of the Nazis. She survived what would have been a sad death when her parachute refused to open after being let off from a Lysander. Another female agent was asked to replace her after she was thought to be dead due to the deadly fall witnessed by the pilot of the Lysander that took her to France. She worked undercover with some of the French troops to escape being detected by the German troops. Few weeks into her stay in France, she discovered that there was someone who gave the German troop information about their next plan thereby sabotaging their plans and leading to the death of some French soldiers. Will she find out who the traitor is? Will she remain undetected by the German troop? Will her operation in France be successful?.

I love the simplicity of the language employed in the narration of the story. It makes it easy to comprehend. Also, the flow of communication between the characters is fluid. I also love the fact that though it is a book centred on war, the female agent was not used as an aesthetic but was an active part of the operations and her success in the operations she partook in and led. I was also able to learn new words which is one of the things I look out for in every book as it helps to improve my vocabulary.

I do not like the fact that some abbreviations like RAF were not explained even when it appeared for the first time in the book.

This book was professionally edited as I found no significant grammatical error in the book and as such I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it is an interesting book and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The failure of the author to explain the abbreviations did not lessen the understanding of the book.

I will recommend it to anyone who is interested in reading a book that has to do with war and also a book that will keep them held by suspense to the end. It can be read by anyone in any age group although it may not be well-understood by children.
