Sophistries of Summer Days revolves around Cherriminia's growth, from the little girl who knew nothing of the world ,except the happenings in her island, Naggo head. The arrival of Dove, the foreigner, in her island, changes her views and flips her world upside down, from then onward she faces many trials, of sadness, grief, joy and bitter choices, but she manages to overcome them and move on, until fortune and happiness cross roads with her again.

I liked Jenny Lofter's style, since it drew me inside Naggo head, the perspective of Cherriminia, who chose to stay afar and not get involved much with adults talks or children games either, was splendid and full of colors, scents and love springing from the bottoms of her heart and towards her island, i also liked the many plot points, which allowed the characters ,who had been introduced at first ,have a bigger role later on.

Nana's stories and actions, along with Bro'man's talks and views , influenced Cherriminia, that looked up to both of them, but the reason she avoided going down the wrong path, was because of her misfortunes and not any of the two's guidance, so bad events , no matter how soul crushing, and pressuring they are, do help us somehow, to realize what was missing all along, or to finally change one's path, which is a very important lesson, that I realized while reading Sophistries of Summer Days .

I found nothing to dislike about this book, as it was very inspiring and heart-warming to follow Cherriminia and Dove's fates intermingle with each other until they became one. And so I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars for it's an amazing and very emotional story that introduced a culture that was unknown to me, but gave much importance to the book.

I recommend this book to young adults, and also teenage audience, as it is a valuable experience to learn from, and keep having faith in one's spirit, and ability to overcome any odds.
