From the onset this novel sounds very intense. Being a fan of war stories I am looking forward to reading this book. I hope Francesca finds her brother.

Not a fan of war strokes and fiction. But, the historical aspect is what captivates my interest and your review ensured that. Would like to read this book someday. Congrats on BOTD.

This book seems quite interesting coupled with the fact that it is set in Rome, one of my favorite places. However, the theme of war is one that I try to avoid, so I won't be reading this book. Congratulations on BOTD.

Readers interested in historical fiction books would enjoy this read. Readers that like war stories would also find this one interesting.
I find that I haven't been in the mood for historical fiction in a couple of years. That being said, this review is well-written and conveyed the reviewer's opinion very well. Thanks for the review!

I'm having mixed thoughts if I would read the book or not based on the review. Maybe because I'm not a big fan of war stories.

The author was able to tell the story so well that the real world event were similar. I admire his ability to create a different story but with similar authenticity with the real life events.

The story of this book seem revolve around war and love. There are different things that drove people to act, and I'd love to know if Francesca was able to save her lover in the end. Thanks for your honest review.

This book seems to be a thriller and also has romance. Francesca is an interesting character, and Rome is an interesting place to read about. Your review is nice.

This historical fiction about WWII set in Rome sounds like it is well-written with believable characters. It also sounds like it is engaging and difficult to put down. Great review!

'Official Review: Shadow Song' by Anita Morrish well describes the salient features of the historical fiction story of resistance, love, and the theatre in German-occupied Rome. The historical account related to the story has been presented in the review for readers. I find it quite impressive that the reviewer had to browse the events that took place between Germany and Italy during the Second World War to differentiate the real and fictitious parts of the novel. The point that the map included at the beginning of the novel helps us have a good idea of the relative positions of different places is worth mentioning for readers. It was great to learn that the plot is excellent and engaging!
