Not to Reason Why by Robert L. Decker is an action-filled story of young men who sacrificed everything for their country and family and also women who were patient enough to wait for them. It is especially a story of two young couples who were separated due to circumstances.

Zack Hartmann is an air force officer who loved everything fast. Fast cars, airplanes, you name it. He had to go to war but not after getting married to Ruth Bauer. He almost loses his life in war and gets missing from the base but is held hostage by the enemy, and then he is maltreated, coupled with the broken leg he obtained from having escaped death. Do you think he will escape? Do you think he'll survive and get reunited with his family? Do you think he'll get that happy ever after with Ruth?

Not to Reason Why by Robert L. Decker is a very thrilling story. I very much enjoyed it. Zack's presence in the story was very important. His love for his family and friends was exceptional. I was scared for Zack and the prisoner's life that it had me eager to read the next chapter. I enjoyed the action, the suspense, and the chase.

I liked how relatable the characters were. I liked that the book gave the readers glimpses of the lives of Zack and Ruth's friends and even the prisoners. Indeed Robert Decker did an exceptional job on the characters.

I also liked that the book was straight to the point and that the readers could feel the pain and suffering the characters went through for so many years. I loved that the action was well detailed and that the readers could feel it like it was in front of them. I also enjoyed the fact that Ruth had friends and family that were very supportive, and she could count on them for anything. I loved that Ruth and her friends were career women, and they were fierce.

The book was so good that I didn't find any negative aspects. I didn't find any error in the book as it was exceptionally well edited.

The book was a nice read. Hence, I rate it four out of four stars. I didn't remove any stars because there was no negative aspect, and the book was an exceptional read.

I recommend this book to teenagers and anybody who loves action and finds it thrilling.

Being privileged enough to have not lost anyone through war or a similar tragedy, I feel as though a book like this could be really eye-opening for people like me. Understanding the pain and suffering of these characters seems central to the plot, excited to check this book out! Thanks for the review!

I don’t really like war stories so this probably isn’t for me. The only thing I know about losing someone in war or waiting on a POW is what I’ve seen on TV or in movies.

Fantastic review. This book sounds like a genre I would enjoy, a story that keeps you in suspense with a plot that sounds amazing. I also love historical fiction because I learn so much about history through the eyes of the author.

War is always associated with pain and separation. This book has recreated for me the consequences of war on people and the sacrifices of soldiers.

This story seems to be filled with exceptional yet relatable people, I love that. The title Not to Reason Why got me intrigued as I don't see yet how it fits with the story; I guess I will have to read the book to find out

Patriotism and sacrifice for one's country can be seen in this book. I'm curious to know how Ruth felt not hearing from her husband due to his disappearance from the base.
Nice review.

The perils of war and its effects cannot be overstated. Patriotism is also essential as it gives us a sense of self and fulfillment. I believe this book would provide a glimpse of how military families function when their loved ones are shipped away. Thanks for an exciting review.

Patriotism requires sacrifices most time, not only on the side of the person but also from the person's loved ones. I hope Zack was able to reunite with Ruth.
