The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Post by ncreads »

I absolutely loved this novel!

It was heartbreaking to see the poor treatment of colored people in the mid 1900's. While telling a pretty sad story the author still incorporated bits of humor as the characters were quite sassy and fun.

The plot line was also unique as it revolves around black maids helping a white woman write a book about the life of colored maids.

What'd you guys think?
