Traveling in a country going through a civil war is no joke. I am curious about what the protagonist learned about Spanish history and the cause of the local people. This book sounds intriguing so congratulations on BOTD.

The story talks about how a young boy travels throughout Spain during a civil war. He also learned the Spain language and familiarize himself with their culture. I like how the story is well-written. Knowing more about Spain and its culture will be a nice shot for me. Nice review.

This novel inspires readers to be passionate about what they do, to pursue their aspirations, and to deal with whatever arises along the road, at least that's how it sounds to me. I'm curious to find out more. Congrats on taking home the BOTD! Amazing book.

The most important part was his meeting kind people, if it had been the other way round the anguish he would experience would be great. I love the review, it highlighted the storytelling of the author which has increased the chance that it might bump up on my tbr. Thanks

To move to a country in which you are a foreigner then find yourself in the middle of a political civil war must be scary. Love that the author shares with us his passion for Spanish and his experience in Spain. Can't wait to read it. Congrats on BOTD.

Brian Snowden has done well in giving those who have not been to Spain or familiar with their culture a glimpse of what this is through the adventures and activities of William. The good turns of events for William, especially the assistance he received from people like Manolo, appeal to me.
