The book seems to be more like a memoir, although I have no big interest for memoirs, I think I might give it a shot because of the Spanish culture in it. Congrats on being BOTD.

Thank you for the great review. This sounds like a very good book and one that the reader can learn a lot from. I'm glad that the character development was well done. After reading your review I have decided for sure that I'm going to add it to my list of books to read.

An interesting historical fiction novel that sheds light on the Spanish Civil War. The book offers an intriguing story but also offers insight into Spanish culture and traditions.

Looking forward to reading this book about travel and living in an historical time in Spain. *On the Precipice of the Labyrinth* by Brian Snowden Is an intriguing title and since it is about the Spanish Civil War with carefully planned character development in this historical novel I cannot wait to delve into it.

The book has a thought-provoking title that seems harsh, but the plot says otherwise. However, I wonder how this young boy survives in Spain. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

Thank you for your review. Fiction with historical backgrounds has the ability to get readers to appreciate the situations and conditions in a previous time period. As you have stated, the ability of the author to convey accurately what the protagonist is going through makes it a good reading experience.

I've never been to Spain, but reading the book will allow me to 'virtually' travel there and catch a glimpse of what it's like to be in Spain. The language and culture of Spanish people would be an honor to read about them. Moreover, I'd like to know William's experience while in Spain. Did he get what he wanted? What other news advanced while he was in Spain? Did he survive the Spanish civil war?

Based on the title I did not expect a novel about a young man traveling through Spain during a civil war.

This is definitely something I'll read very soon. I love Spain although I've never had the opportunity to visit this lovely country. To learn more about their history and culture will definitely be a plus. Thanks for a detailed review.

I can only imagine the intense atmosphere of a country in the midst of a civil war, especially one where religious figures are being deliberately attacked. To me that signals the war has reached a new level of intensity. I appreciate the cliche "All is fair in love and war," which I feel fits with the summary part of your review :) Thank you for a great review!

Russia-Ukraine affair has made interested in war novels, but a situation where the religious figures are attacked plus a civil war means the war has reached an higher level of intensity, I can’t wait to start reading.
Thanks for a great and detailed review.
