In his book, Let The Children Come To Me, Tom Fay writes in a manner that is particularly uplifting as he describes the modest life and Biblical ideals of George Muller, a man of prayer and total dependence on God. This renowned and devoted servant of the Lord has performed a powerful act that is nothing short of amazing! Each chapter of this exceptional book will help you better grasp what true faith and transformation look like as George Muller leads you on a fascinating trip that has many turns and twists. The reader is able to stand on the sidelines and applaud George's successes while grieving with him over his losses, thanks to Mr. Fay's realistic and heartfelt depictions of the sufferings and victories George encounters.

Now for the positives of the book: I adore how the author provides a full biography of Muller's life, describing the occasions that helped him develop into such an exceptional man of God. I enjoyed that I could relate to and empathize with every character as well. It was extremely inspiring to see George's transformation from a disturbed teen to a nice and considerate adult. On the editing part, I would say the book was exceptionally well edited since I didn't find any errors.

Now for what I didn't like about the book: it reads like a contemporary paraphrase of George Muller's life and a practical application of the religion and values he upheld. George Müller's biography in the book is also not more accurate. Despite the aforementioned drawbacks, the book was generally enjoyable to read.

I would rate the book as 4 out of 4 stars since I thought it was fantastic. After reading just a few pages, I already had a strong connection to George because of the great writing and storyline. It was a moving tale that made me seriously consider life and God. The fact that Tom Fay attempts and succeeds in portraying the story of a historical figure in the style of a contemporary novel prevented me from giving the book a lower rating.

The book is one I'd suggest to anyone who enjoys hearing about the ministries of outstanding Christians and who wants to be inspired by the ways God can use them. The book is also recommended for everyone who wishes to learn about George Muller in a unique and entertaining way. Since Mr. Fay's interpretation of this story of faith will inspire and empower people to live their best lives, there is no excuse for not reading it.
