The Court at Constantinople by Robert Harris is a fascinating novel for those who are into historical fiction with legal nuances. It is a lot more than the courtroom drama; rather, it is the contemplation of cultural issues, justice, and love in a dissenting society as its subject.

‘A Court at Constantinople’ is an intriguing look at how society is a melting pot and how cultures can clash, especially when they are trying to consolidate power. This book is based on historical facts about the legal system at the time in Constantinople and it's clear that the author is fascinated by this area of legal history. There is a lot of information to read through at times which helps to set the scene. This does give it an authentic feel but some readers may think it slows the pace of the narrative. A good historical mystery that educates the reader but keeps them guessing about the plot! I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I just love crime and suspense novels, especially when court cases are present, so this is definitely a read for me. I'm curious about James and Rosamund's relationship and eager to find out how it all unfolds. Thanks for a great review. Congrats on BOTD.

I think the topics of this book, especially given the state of the world right now, are incredibly prevalent and the questions of law and justice are more important to investigate than ever

Your review has me absolutely intrigued about the book. It is always such a pleasure to read books that combine various theme while also keeping the plot central. I believe that Justice and Law as themes are quite difficult to carry and your praise about Anthony Earth's handling of them has me itching to read A Court at Constantinople. Great review!

I love when a author can combine multiple topics within a story because it gives the story more layers. I can see James and Rosamund getting together, so I hope that happens. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

A book on justice, law, human rights, abuse, and love seems like the perfect combination. Your review future intrigues me to read the book with how concise and with just enough details for one to add the book to their reading list.

This is a law and justice focus book, It's a general conception that law and justice is not a straight line and I like that this book shares similar views. I want to see justice prevail, and how the lawyers fared. Thanks for the review and congratulations to the author on BOTD.
