Cajun Crow and the Mockingbird is a coming-of-age story where a bright young man grows up in the comfort of a warm and loving family.
Noel Corbin is a lawyer for the criminal and corrupt. He is jailed for defending the honour of a client- his one truly innocent client. He is comfortable with his bottom-dwelling clients, but he yearns to fight the racism and discrimination that is uniquely Lousiana.
Cajun Crow and the Mockingbird is a good read with the seediness of the protagonist's accommodation with the criminal underground in juxtaposition with Noel's need to fight for the underdog and win.
