Let the Children Come: The Life Story of George Muller by Tom Fay

George was raised in a home of expectations and rebellion. His older brother, Fred, was the golden child George knew he could never be. He loved to party, drink, and do drugs. After his mother died, George learned to hide these things from his father. When he went away to college, life was one big party. Then one day, his best mate Beta discovers God. Seeing the change in Beta made George question what he was doing. He finally realized this was what was missing in his life.

George became a Christian and started a new life. As a result, he is disowned by his father. He discovered a family who lived by faith in God. Mary was a member of this family, and George fell for her. They soon married and began a life together.

George and Mary had a passion for helping children. Together, they helped children from all over the world. They filled this need by building a school that provided housing and God-based learning. They were amazed and humbled by the things God was able to do through them. As they aged, George must let Mary go. It is her time to die. She is at peace knowing she will soon be with her Saviour.

Of course, there is so much more to their story. They have a daughter, Lydia. Lydia became a big part of the school, and the children loved her. There are storms, there are complaining neighbors, and so much more.

Although this is a story of God-based Christianity, everyone can learn from this story. Life has good and evil. George and Mary confronted life through their faith in God.

The author proves you do not need foul language and sexuality to have a great story. The narrative and story flow together. You will be unable to put down the book. I am giving this book 5 of 5 .
