Apollo’s Raven by Linnea Tanner is a historical fiction book that revolves around Princess Catrin, the youngest daughter of King Amren of Celtic. The brave princess has a duty to protect her people. The book also talks about the love story between Catrin and Marcellus, which introduces romance into the book.

Princess Catrin of Celtic has raven eyes that she sees through, and this was instrumental in seeing the return of her half-brother, Marrock, the son of Queen Rhan, who was convicted for the offense of treason. Marrock was banished by their father, King Amren. Marrock returns to the kingdom with a Roman army to take revenge against his father. Princess Catrin, who foresaw what was coming, went to inform the king but found him hosting Senator Lucius Antonius and his son, Marcellus. Catrin and Marcellus piqued interest in each other, and this led to a love affair between them, which is detrimental to Catrin. Pick up a copy of the book to enjoy this amazing story.

The book has a wonderful and engaging storyline. This is a well-written book that shows Tanner’s creative abilities. I enjoyed reading the book because it was written in simple words and the events occurred in sequence. It was so easy to follow up and understand the storyline. There was intense suspense because of the author's ability to capture readers attention and the different plot twists in the book. I never expected Catrin and Marcellus to fall in love despite the fracas between the Celtics and Romans. I acknowledge the well-developed characters and the attractive cover page that drew my attention to the book. I agree with the decision of the king banishing Marrock for not protecting his stepsister Catrin. There was nothing I disliked about the book because the author did a good job with it.

I’m rating the book five out of five stars. I gave it a perfect rating because of the intriguing storyline and well-developed characters. The book was exceptionally edited, as there were no errors in it. I recommend the book to fans of historical fiction because it will best pique their interest.
