Columbus, Slave Trader by Marcus Wilson is an excellent book describing the story of a few Native Indians who were taken as slaves to Spain and the other parts of Europe by Columbus so as to prove to his people that he reached India as part of his exploration. Although the story and characters are fictional, they are largely based on the true events that took place at the time. The book explains the various inhuman activities and the harsh realities that Guarocuya and his fellows had to face when they reached Spain. They were kept as slaves, called pagans, and many were killed. It's an amazing story of friendship, bravery and sacrifice which takes us to the time when all this happened to the people. It is very disheartening to see all those people suffering.

The book is wonderfully written and presented to readers. Along with this the book is very professionally edited with no major errors. The best part of the story was Guarocuya's character. It is amazing to see his love for his people and friends. I loved the fact that the book presented a part of Columbus's explorations which was mostly unknown to the world. The book is very informative and the writing is very exceptional which makes the story more interesting for readers.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There is nothing that I dislike about the book. It's perfectly written. The story was very precise and easy to read without any challenges or issues.

I would recommend this book to all readers who love to read historical fiction books. The story is very captivating and based on actual events that took place. We all know about the slave trade from Africa or Asia but the book presents a very different perspective of the slave trade.
