Review of The Pahlavi Sword
The Pahlavi Sword by Jemil Metti tells the story of Captain Jamsheed AI Armaghani, a police officer under the authority of SAVAK. He is the son of a ranking political family. His brother, Mahmood, is a student at Tehran University. Mahmood, a free-spirited person, has a friend named Ali AI Gailani, the son of Imam Mousa AI-Gailani, a highly respected religious figure. He is one of the organizers of anti-government demonstrations.
Commander Farouk Nabizadeh, a high-ranking officer in the Majesty's government, a superior officer at Evin Prison, a direct superior officer to Jamsheed, the perpetrator of hidden crimes, drunk with power and lust, made a false accusation against a woman, Maysoon Teleghani, imprisoned her, renamed her twins, and silenced their existence. These actions set the stage for future complications and daring discoveries.
The actions of the demonstrator created civil and political unrest. It is becoming some trouble for SAVAK. They had set up surveillance across the state, inviting, imprisoning, and killing anyone who stood as a threat to the government. This surveillance team caught up with Mahmood, Jamsheed's brother, as he exchanged political tapes with a sensitive target, Ali AI Gailani. He is declared a target by the SAVAK. As his brother tries to rescue him, his effort meets a deadlock. What will be his fate? What will happen to Gailani and his supporters? Will Jamsheed uncover the secrets? Readers will find answers from the book.
The book title The Pahlavi Sword, the writing style, and the secret code it represents are positive aspects of the book. The actions and imaginative writing are what I like the most about the book. It made me picture every scene in the book. The descriptive nature of the book is intriguing. The near-death and betrayal experiences ignite the twists and turns in the book. Readers would enjoy the adventurous nature of the book.
Considering the narration, the writing style, and the captivating nature of the book, I do not dislike the book. The sincerity of the author is visible in the narration. There are no negative aspects in the book. I rate the book, The Pahlavi Sword, by Jemil Metti 5 out of 5 stars. The storyline is educational. I recommend the book to lovers of action-filled books. Historical book lovers will enjoy the book. It will not be good for readers who are sensitive to sex and horror scenes.
