Get set to tag along Catrin as she is tasked with humongous responsibility of saving her kingdom from the looming destruction. Who is Catrin and what does her character represent? According to the author, she's a princess and an unusual protagonist with the extraordinary ability to have conversations with ravens and access a mystical realm called the "Otherworld.”

While trying to navigate her way out of the murky waters of the complex ancient politics and warfare in this book. We discover that she finds herself entangled in the web of a forbidden love. Catrin falls in love with a Roman captive, Marcellus. This further complicates things as it seems like the entire world is conspiring against them while her kingdom's fate hangs in the balance.

To make matters worse, Catrin's family is cursed, and she is the only one who can break it. With the help of her raven guide and her own courage, she embarks on a dangerous journey through the "Otherworld" to uncover the curse's secrets and face her inner darkness.

Will Catrin manage to save her kingdom and be with the one she loves, or will war and destiny tear everything apart? "Apollo's Raven" by Linnea Tanner is a gripping story of love, magic, and adventure that will keep you hooked until the very end.

"Apollo's Raven" is an interesting historical fiction novel that effortlessly combines mystery, fantasy, myth, and magic. The author's meticulous historical details transport readers to the ancient world of Celtic Britons and Romans, while multiple perspectives provide deep insight into the characters' inner lives and motivations.

Catrin’s character in the story is a strong female lead that embodies Celtic values of equality and strength, and the portrayal of a society where women have significant power and property rights is both refreshing and interesting. The writing is clear and engaging, immersing readers fully in the story.

The book excels in balancing action, romance, and political intrigue. The way the story develops is just right, keeping you interested with all its twists and surprises. The immersive world and compelling narrative highlight the author’s exceptional storytelling skills.

The editing is top notch, with clear, polished prose that ensures a smooth and enjoyable read. I found nothing to dislike about the book.

If you’re a fan of historical fiction, fantasy, mystery, or romance, you should definitely give 'Apollo's Raven' a try. However, due to its mature themes, violence, and sexual content, it’s best suited for older readers.

I give this awesome book 5 out of 5 stars. "Apollo's Raven" is an engrossing and exceptionally well written novel that will captivate readers with its complex characters, rich world-building, and gripping storyline.
