Dagger's Destiny by Linnea Tanner. This book is the second in the Curse of Clansmen and Kings series. In Ancient Rome and Britannia, there was a great power struggle between the kings of those lands. Marcellus and Catrin are the heirs of each kingdom. They fight to avoid war between their nations and also look for a way to be together. However, their parents take it as an act of treason, and they are condemned for their actions.

Catrin, princess of Britannia, tries with everything in her power to be faithful to her kingdom and her love, but various circumstances make her goal seem impossible. However, she discovers that she has such great power that she could change the course of the threads that weave destiny.

This is an exciting story. In a world full of multicolored nuances, everything is very well described and set. The protagonist of this story finds herself in different scenarios where she seems to be responsible for the change of her destiny due to a curse that can change depending on the actions taken. However, everything is evoked towards the immovable prediction of the oracles because everything points to the fact that destiny is unbreakable. However, this princess is discovering the evolution of her powers, and she realizes that the veil of reality and dreams is increasingly thin. So, she will do the impossible to save her love and her family.

Even though I have not read the first book, I was able to follow the story without problems. I loved this reading. This second book is complete enough to explain the previous events on its own and to follow the story normally. From my perspective, I notice that the protagonist couple has a very big connection; long before it is completely described in the book, it is understood. All the descriptions in the book are very clear. On many occasions, I felt the descriptions mentioned.

In addition, the reading is completely captivating and fluid, and the touches of magic and transformations are impressive. The whole book tends to develop as a “back and forth” of loyalties, betrayals and revenge, which are inevitably caused by a feeling of anger for feelings from the past.

I loved the faith and trust that Marcellus and Catrin profess to each other. I was impressed by her brother's ability to manipulate and how he successfully managed to distort the intentions of both sides.

Furthermore, I didn't find anything that I particularly disliked; the book is very well edited and uses impeccable descriptive language. Although, I must mention that more than half of the book developed slowly, that didn't make me enjoy the story any less.

I recommend it to anyone of legal age who enjoys books in the fantasy genre. I must warn that the book contains some explicit erotic and violent scenes, as well as bad words. If any of the above bothers you, it is preferable that you choose another title.

For all the reasons mentioned, I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars. I would like to read the entire saga. I confess that I found the preview of the next chapter of the book even more exciting. Likewise, I'm excited to know what will happen next.

Hi Bettny, it's been ages since I saw one of your reviews. This story sounds fun and I'm curious, but I have to read the first one as I can't pick up a series part way hehe.

Hello! Thanks for your attention, I've been busy with a lot of things and I haven't had time to write reviews or read, I'm trying to get back to them. This book is captivating, I think it's great to be able to read the complete trilogy.

It will be fun to read this book that has as its backdrop ancient Rome and Britannia. There must be a lot of suspense in the forbidden love of the two heirs to the respective kingdoms. I could lose myself in this book. Congratulations to the author, Linnea Tanner, for earning a 5-star rating from you.

I'm not into fantasy all that much but your review might just entice me into trying it. Thanks for your review, @Bettny Andrade.
