I love fictional stories with mythological plots. The combination Tanner does with Roman and Celtic cultures is wonderful and this is the perfect introduction into the Apollo's Raven book series.

Ooh…your description and the teaser on Amazon have me convinced! I love the idea of blending the Roman pantheon with Celtic lore. How intriguing! Thanks for the great review.

I like historical fiction but not fantasy. However the storyline of this book sounds great. A forbidden love from different countries that were asked to spy on each other. Fans of this genre will enjoy this. Thank you for your review!

A truly interesting concept indeed. Ancient history and mythology have always been my subject of choice when it comes to understanding how empires ruled once. I credit the author for passing down the knowledge to get a sense of what it was like in terms of rulership, organization...during those ancient times.

It's encouraging to see historical fiction that includes both the Roman and Celtic empires. The assessment was thorough, and the plot is distinctive and engaging.

The author must be very creative and intelligent to create a fictional world in times like 24 AD. The language would be different too. The plot is quite intriguing. Congratulations to the author.

Historical fantasy and romance! Wow. I read some of the sample online and was immediately pulled into the story as Princess Catrin mind-melds (is that a word?) with the raven and sees her brother on the shore with war ships. What a captivating opening to a book! Congrats to the author on BOTD.

A very difficult love affair between Princess Catrin who is the daughter of King Amren and Marcellus, son of the Roman Senator, is well presented in the historical fiction story book "Apollo's Raven" by Linnea Tanner, which promises to be entertaining as the characters are nicely crafted to perfection.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I never read anything from this time period of mixed Celtic and Roman culture, I can definitely appreciate different setting for fantasy than the usual medieval period. I also enjoy when the mythology gets turned real and magical. Great review.
