The Vietnam deadly war
Historical event around the time that the Brooklyn bridge collapsed in 1966. People had normal lives with their families then suddenly the unwanted prostitution era in Vietnam started which ended in a flop by 2020 with no open brothels in Thailand remaining from lack of customers and generally no one willing to pay someone else to have sex when they can do that happily on their own and for free. Viewed as a straight felony, the Vietnam militants were now in a robot era of sterile soldiers.
No fan of War. The first chapter of the book was well written but the writing went downhill from there with no interest in the written content.
An obsolete topic.
Congratulations on being BOTD

The Vietnam war was a horror story. I admire the resilient soldiers who fought tirelessly. Zachariah was a strong character in this book.

I wonder how the author infused humour in a book about war and the significant impact it had on the soldiers. Thanks for your well-written review.

I have learned about the Vietnam Naval War but never went deep into the details so I think reading about Randy Miller’s going to the Vietnam war will be a good start.

Wow! A walk into history. Personally, I don't like wars and during this particular war, many of the men who fought and survived went through too much trauma. The book is a good one.

Although I don't like to read war novels, I have always understood that both sides of a conflict are affected by it. One is either an enemy of the other, or vice versa. The prospect of reading this book excites me. Congratulations on BOTD!

I've read a similar story in one of Forrest Gump's fictionalized experiences when he was a soldier in Vietnam, so this book is interesting for me. I wouldn't be surprised if they suffered PTSD, but maltreating them when they came home was too much. The humor makes the book more engaging to read. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I like that Miller tells this story from an emotional perspective and infuses humour while at it. I know next to nothing about the naval aspect of this war beyond the fact that the US faked an attack on one of her own warships.

A book on love, friendship, devotion to duty, and the history of a nation will be such a great read. This is a brilliant review. Well done.
