I enjoy historical books, but I do not like books about war.

I enjoy historical books, but I do not like books about war. It is always refreshing to read about fictional characters that do not seem fictional, but Vietnam is not a topic I would enjoy.

The 'war' is a worn-out subject for a novel, yet, this book seems unique in that it addresses a different issue, i.e. how the soldiers are treated by their government after making many sacrifices. I would like to know more about the sufferings of the protagonist and, through his eyes, would try to understand what it must feel like in real life.

This book seems to really highlight the problems of soldiers. Especially those they didn’t foresee.

Wow!! The premise of the book made me exclaim out loud on behalf of the soldiers affected by Agent Orange. I read some of the sample online, and the author is a great writer. Thanks for the review and congrats to the author on BOTD.

I have family members who served in VietNam and other combat zones so I appreciate the accounts, fiction or nonfiction, of servicemen. Although I personally do not read these books I am sure this will be a good read for those who do. Thank you for your review.

This book puts into perspective the horrors of war through realistic characters who have been close to death on several occasions. Great !

The plot totally sounds like a real life story. I wonder if the author used any personal experiences of himself or family members, to write this book.

I think the author was brave in answering the call to serve his nation. However, I'm not a fan of war tales or historical fiction, so I'll skip this book.

I felt like I was their talking to some of those solders and captives. With there bad accent to misspoken dialect. Some Real-world dialect going on between the Solders. How normal. The life on ship just isn't for everyone. The thing about the particular reading is they got along amongst each other and with others. Yea they would b thrown into crossfires, but throughout the reading These Solders kept it together and kept it pushing no matter the Assignments.

The Vietnam Naval War and Its Aftermath, follows the life of a fictional character, a young man from a rural part of Vermont. Congratulations BOTD!

The story feels sad and the characters real, war is an ugly affair I don't wish on anyone. The historical facts in the book will help a lot in the reading and understanding of war is like. Thanks for the review.

I have read some books on the Vietnam war. But I haven't read a real-life story about its effects on the soldiers. What did Zack and his companions face in this war? Good review.

I know a little bit about the Vietnam war and its consequences and I have no desire to delve deeper into it. However, I know readers will have a wonderful experience.

I am drawn to this book by your vivid description of it. The war impacts both sides, and it is unfortunate that these soldiers suffer additional injustice from their governments.
