I just read the book! It was a bit tedious to read at first, I guess I need to up my reading level. But once I got used to it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm glad I got to read it though. The first-person perspective helped me understand the Greek culture far better than I did when I was simply reading a historian's perspective.

The review looks quite interesting, I as a lover of the historical genre, am already reading this book. However, I do not know much about Sparta. Thank you!

The same thing about getting tired at first happened with me. Later, even I got immersed in the book.

I recently finished reading this book and I can say that it truly is a long read. It however was worth the while.

Lovely review! Though I'm not such a great fan of historical fiction, I'll have to admit that this book is interesting as I'm currently reading it now. And yes, it is so long!

It is really a long book. I had to dedicate a lot of time a day and even almost a whole day at times to ensure that I finished.
I believe the long-life friendship was forged by the hardship that Leotychides went through with his friends.
I believe in something greater than myself.
