I appreciate reading the review for this book. I am about to start reading this book and the review have me some insight to what I can expect. It seems the 2nd book in the series and it sound like it will be as action packed as the first book.

I have not read the whole book, or others in the series, but based off of the free sample provided, I can already tell that I would love the book! The forbidden love between the Celtic Princess and the son of a Roman Senator is a better love story than Vampires and Werewolfs for sure! 4 out of 4 stars!

Great review! I appreciate that you said the book could be read as a standalone novel and not just as part of the series. I enjoy historical novels and I enjoy some fantasy novels. I will have to see if I like a blend of the two. Thanks for the thorough overview!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story following the son of a Roman Senator as he has to decide between his loyalty to Rome and his love for the princess of the Celts. It is worth a second look. Well done.

The storyline seems interesting. Catrin's character seems well-built. Set in 24 AD amidst Celtic & Roman cultures, its intriguing. Looking forward to reading the entire series. Congrats on BOTD!

This sounds like a good historical romance. Roman and Celtic culture are total opposites but I'm glad that the author was able to pull it off. Your review is great too! I like how you discussed each character's outstanding and relatable trait. Thanks for the review!

I really like the fact that the author was able to draw out so many themes through interweaving different characters and narratives. So, it does seem like the book can please readers with different tastes. Though, the historical references and legends portrayed in the book would especially engage the historical fiction's audience.

I liked your detailed and insightful review. I have never read historical fantasies. This book seems to be getting a lot of praises. Would definitely add this one to me to-read list.

I don't think I would enjoy reading the historical part of the story it's not something I normally read about. Nice review.

Sounds like the author did their research! I don’t usually read books from this era, however, so I’ll probably pass. Great review!
