Your detailed review shows that you enjoyed the book thoroughly. This series seems to be favourite for many readers since the first book was also the book of the day a few days ago. And today the second book is the book of the day. I'm not much interested in fantasy, but I might give it a try later. Thanks for the review!

Dagger's Destiny by Linnea Tanner is a historical fiction, and I personally don't like historical fiction. I should skip this one. Congratulations on #botd.

It sounds very interesting, and I have enjoyed books with similar themes in the past so I hope I have the time to read this soon.

Even though historical fiction is not my favourite genre, I found the story quite intriguing. I was encouraged by your mention of the author's meticulousness and outstanding way of writing. Seldom do we find authors who share this passion and dedication to their work nowadays. Thank you for your meaningful review and clear elaboration of the plot. I'm definitely reconsidering my favourites now.

I have never given a thought to reading any type of historical fantasy book. If I were to choose one to start off with, I would probably choose this one. Based off your review, I believe I might actually like reading this book.

I typically do not like historical fiction , but with this book having so much detail and different genres into it .. I feel as if I would read this. I think that once you start reading you forget that it is a comparison of a time in history and told as a fake story , and would get deep into the love , heroism and battles that the characters had to make and overcome !

It's nice to see a continuation of Princess Catrin's story in this second book. It will be interesting to discover if her forbidden love for Marcellus, the Roman Senator's son will flourish or she'll be influenced by her patriotism and loyalty to her family. Nice review.

You've done an excellent job on this review! There are so many things that we can learn from historical books, especially when the author has an exceptional writing style, like in this case. However, this book seems a bit to complex for me right now. I will add it to my shelf for the moment when I'll feel ready to delve into the Roman and Celtic cultures.

Thanks for the review, the series is on my to-read list and I can't wait to start reading it. Hopefully, I will get to it this December holiday. I love historical romance and the difference that is highlighted between the Roman and Celtic cultures is fascinating.

There doesn't seem to be anything to not like about this book: historical fantasy, symbolism, and romance. I haven't read the first book yet, but as soon as I can, I want to read the entire series. Great review!

A very thorough review but I am not a fan of historical writings. I haven't read a prequel to this book but admittedly the sample did not draw my interest. I did like how you were able to depict notable parts of the book without giving any spoilers.
