Living with Faith, Love and Hope is a short play written by Dr. Alfreda Love. The play talks about the life of three sisters, Hope, Love, and Faith, who, due to poor circumstances, are forced into the foster care system. The author uses this play to talk about the merits and demerits of the foster care system. But as fate would have it, they were placed in a home where although unknown to them and the persons of that household, they were needed more than ever. Did they survive the system?

The author starts the play with a scene where we see Ms. Frankenstein, who is about to lose her home and lacks adequate means to provide for her kids. She is completely out of options and seeks help from everyone. What is next for her and her kids? Are they to be left desolate?

The book has a lot of positive aspects. One is the author's use of this story to give a better understanding of the correlation between Hope, Love, and Faith. The author of the play seeks to teach his readers that there is no faith without hope and no hope without love. They all must go together. Another positive aspect is the author's style of writing, how he was able to tell his story and teach his lesson in clear, precise words.

The negative aspect of the book was the structure of the book. For instance, the author wasn't able to arrange his scenes properly, like stating where one scene is over, and another is about to start. He congests everything like we are reading a children's book. I also didn't really enjoy his storyline. It was shallow and lacked devices to draw his readers' attention to the subject matter. I also didn't like the fact that I didn't learn any new words from the book.

I did notice a few errors while reading the book. It wasn't properly edited. Therefore, I rate this play 2 out of 4 because the negative aspect I stated above did affect my overall satisfaction with this book and kind of made it less fun to read. Another reason is because of the errors found in the play.

I recommend this play to persons who love reading plays and also love reading Christian-themed books. This book will definitely be the right niche for people who want to understand the foster care system or who have been through it or are going through it right now. It might inspire them.
