I love poetry that’s real and depicts the raw truth about life and how it can be beautiful but also painful. I like that the author here writes about love and how it can be painful and how it can be difficult to pick yourself back up after heartbreak and loss. I also really like the lessons of self discovery and self love woven into all the poems.

The butterfly is the best example of a magnificent metamorphosis. One needs to experience hardship, even heartache, to become beautiful. May we all learn that lesson from the caterpillar. One of the best books I have read, Hope for the Flowers, teaches the same thing. And one of my favorite cartoon characters of all time is Penelope of The Wacky Races. I am drawn to this book.

This review is as beautiful as the book itself (it seems). Like the book it self, the review is a call to action. It compels me to read the book sincerely. In life, we learn the hard way sometimes. I guess these poems are great indeed!

I love Penelopes Purple Passions by Penelope Chaisson because it's filled with lessons about love and life. In that case, I will consider reading it. Congratulations on the BOTD.

You were able to clarify what you liked about the book very well. I'm not a fan of poetry and unfortunately this review didn't persuade me. However, I will recommend it to those I think would benefit from this particular poetry book.

The review is superb, it explains the complexity of love, and how it differs, it also shows how the author let go of her past and move on, it is depicted in that she got a new lease on life, she became grateful of the hardships as they have moulded her into her present self, the reviewer was able to connect with most of the poems in the book

Penelope Chaisson has written a series of uplifting poetry that brings the reader into an enlightenment of understanding of what she intends the reader to forsee.
A good and unique read.

I liked the title, it made me think that today's BOTD will be steamy romance. Even though I am not overly fond of the genre and wasn't going to read the book, it made me smile. Granted figuring out that is a collection of poetry didn't change much, because with my current English level, it is impossible to appreciate the fine art of word play.

I am not big on poetry but this seems like an easy one. I also like that it is the kind of poetry one can connect with as it deals with real life issues.

When I read the title, I thought this would be a romance novel, never would I have thought it would be a collection of poems on the author's life. What an interesting way of writing your life story. I am thouroughly interested in this book.

This book of poetry sounds like it is not only an emotional read, but also a self-discovery journey. I have added it to my reading list. Great review!

I'm not fan of poetry, but I am glad that Ms. Chiassen could face her demons.
