Hölderlin's search for freedom, knowledge, and love makes him an inspiring character, and I would like to learn more about Susette and Hölderlin's love story.

Thank you for such a detailed and engaging review! Your description of Diotima as a "romantic, alluring, and devastating" story immediately caught my attention. I love how you highlighted Hölderlin's relatable longing for freedom, learning, and passion, as well as the author’s ability to transport readers into the turbulent era of European history. It’s fascinating that the play intertwines historical context with poetic charm, creating a compelling narrative. Your mention of Susette as a love interest who feels "just out of reach and unattainable" adds a layer of bittersweet beauty to the story. I also appreciate your note about the professional editing—it's always a bonus when the writing flows seamlessly. This review makes me want to explore Diotima not just as a reader, but to imagine it performed on stage, as you suggested. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and insights!

Wow what a review. Poetry is so great because it is so much depth and this book does not disappoint. Coupling poetry with a love story, place on stage with a dark backdrop and you have a match made in the stars. Great review and will definitely be putting this on my Must Read list.

I'm not a fun of poem and theatre books, but from your reviews, I find myself willing to read this book and find out how the romance in the book span out. Congratulations on today's BOTD.

Hi @Abiodunakinola, I just read your comments on the official review of “Diotima: Romance Drama” by Bernard Kuckuck. This is a play about a man named Holderlin, a young poet that dreams about travel and advanced learning when he meets Susette, his Diotima that takes place in the time of Napoleon near the end of the 18th century. Susette is the dream woman he has been looking for all of his life. This is a love story that readers will cheer for this couple but sadly one will see the end of their romance coming long before the play ends. The play is romantic but ends in the tragic death of Susette. I found this to be an interesting read. @Mrlefty0706
