It’s a glowing review. I’m intrigued by the use of narrative poetry to tell the story of someone’s life.

I like the fact that you described Chapin’s writing as what "perfectly illustrates that sometimes less is more." I can't agree any less. I am also intrigued to know that the writer used poetry to tell her own story. It will indeed be a good work of art to look up. Great review. :)

This book on poetry seem to be great. I would have love to read it but I'm a little reserved when it comes to poems. Thanks for the review.

Definitely a book out of my comfort zone. I thought this would be a challenging read but when I sampled some pages, I must say it got me hooked instantly. I'll probably give it a shot and add this to my TBR list. Great job on the review!

I heard a friend say that writing poetry is like therapy. This sounds like a haunting collection of poetry that discusses many difficult themes. Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.

I used to write poetry once upon a time, but I stopped. Perhaps Lois Chapin would be the inspiration I need to get back in the game. The fact that the author was able to use just a few words to convey something as detailed as a life story is quite impressive. I would love to discover how she achieves this feat. Thanks for the scintillating review.

I don't fancy reading books under drama and poetry genre, but the unnamed narrator's story seems to arouse mixed emotional feeling to the readers. I might read the book. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

It's amazing how the author does a fantastic job of telling an entire life story through narrative poetry. To be able to cover themes of child abuse, rape, parenthood, marriage, divorce, aging and family, with unexpected depth is also a major feat. This is a book worth reading as the topics are of great importance. Thank you for an enlightening review.

This narrative poetry, speaks of the narrator journey to adulthood. Life challenges such as child abuse, rape, lack of control for unforseen events among others. It is an eye opener for young adults.

While I used to enjoy reading and writing poetry when I was much younger, that enjoyment has left me so I don't think that this book will be a good fit for me. Thank you for the review.

I'm not a fan of poetry but the book sounds interesting and not like any other poetry book. It deals with such topics as child abuse, rape, parenthood, marriage, divorce, aging and family so I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
